Quiet, smart garage door openers installed by the pros.
As an authorized LiftMaster dealer, we install residential openers that retail stores don't carry — heavier-duty motors, longer warranties, and the latest myQ smart features. Whether you want a whisper-quiet belt drive under your bedroom or a wall-mount unit that frees up ceiling space, we'll match the right opener to your door and install it the same day.
Quick fit · 30 seconds
Same parent company. Very different products. Here's the honest difference.
Both brands are made by Chamberlain Group and run the same myQ smart platform. But they're not the same product. LiftMaster is the professional, dealer-only line. Chamberlain is the retail/DIY line. We lead with LiftMaster and offer Chamberlain where it makes sense.
LiftMaster
Sold and installed exclusively through trained dealers like us. Heavier-duty motors, longer warranties, more advanced features. What we recommend for the unit to last 15+ years.
- + 3/4 HP DC motors standard on most current models
- + Lifetime motor warranty on premium series
- + Battery backup on more models
- + Built-in cameras on flagship line
Chamberlain
Reliable performance with the same myQ smart features at a more accessible price. A great fit for secondary garages, rental properties, or homeowners who want solid functionality without premium extras.
- + 1/2 HP and 3/4 HP options across belt and chain
- + Same myQ app and Security+ encryption
- + Common parts shared with LiftMaster
- + Lower up-front cost on simple installs
Drive type first. Everything else is secondary.
The most important decision when buying an opener is the drive type — belt, chain, or wall mount. Features like battery backup and smart control can be added to any drive type. Start here.
Belt drive
A reinforced rubber belt runs almost vibration-free. This is what we install most often in attached garages — especially when there's a bedroom above or beside the door.
Chain drive
Time-tested, durable, less expensive than belt drive. Slightly louder, but irrelevant if your garage isn't next to living space. For detached garages and workshops, often the smarter choice.
Wall-mount
Mounts on the wall beside the door. Frees the entire ceiling for storage racks, lighting, or a tall vehicle. Whisper-quiet, premium install, handles very heavy or oversized doors.
Features that actually matter — and why.
LiftMaster's current lineup pushes six features hard. These are the ones homeowners thank us for most after installation.

“I have a bedroom above my attached garage.”
Belt drive. The vibration from a chain drive will wake people. Battery backup too — you’ll thank us after the first power outage.
LiftMaster 87504-267“I have a detached garage and want something reliable.”
Chain drive. They’re louder, but you don’t care if it’s detached. Chain is durable, heavy-door-friendly, and a strong value.
LiftMaster 87802“I want to use the ceiling for storage racks.”
Wall mount. Frees the entire overhead for racks, lighting, or a tall vehicle. Whisper-quiet. Handles very heavy and oversized doors.
LiftMaster 98032“I have an oversized or very heavy door.”
Wall mount with commercial-grade gearbox. The 98032 handles up to 1,100 lbs — covers solid wood, oversized, high-lift, and vertical-lift configurations.
LiftMaster 98032“I want the latest 2026 tech with a built-in camera.”
The 87504-267 is the flagship — camera, 2,000-lumen LED ring, battery backup, all in one. Or the 84505R if you want to save a bit and don’t need battery backup built in.
LiftMaster 87504-267 or 84505R“It’s for a rental property or secondary shed.”
Chamberlain B6753T. Same myQ app, lower price point, solid belt drive. The right call when you need reliable but don’t need premium.

Anything else, just call. The owner answers — not a call center.
How long does installation take? +
Most installs take 2–4 hours. We schedule a single appointment — no return trips.
Will my old remotes work with a new opener? +
It depends on the model. If you’re upgrading to a 2026 Security+ 3.0 model (4690L, 6690L), no — the new encryption isn’t backward-compatible with Security+ 2.0 remotes. We include new remotes with every install. If you’re staying within Security+ 2.0 (models like the 87504-267 and 84505R), your existing LiftMaster or Chamberlain remotes from the same era usually still work — we’ll confirm during your appointment.
Do I need battery backup? +
If you’re in California, yes — it’s required by law on new installs (SB-969). Everywhere else it’s optional, but we highly recommend it. A power outage means a door you can’t open without manually disconnecting. Battery backup eliminates that entirely.
What’s the warranty? +
LiftMaster premium models (87504-267, 98032) come with lifetime motor and belt warranties. Other LiftMaster models range from limited lifetime to 5 years on the motor. Chamberlain warranties are shorter — typically 1–10 years depending on model. We back our installation workmanship for 30 days.
Can you install an opener I bought at Home Depot? +
Yes, we install homeowner-supplied Chamberlain openers. Note that retail-purchased openers don’t carry the same dealer warranty support, and we can’t price-match manufacturer promotions on dealer-supplied units. Most homeowners find the LiftMaster dealer-install path costs about the same or less long-term.
Is myQ a paid subscription? +
No subscription for basic control — open, close, monitor, alerts, schedules. Some advanced features (video history storage, Key by Amazon in-garage delivery) require a small subscription. Core functionality is free.
What about smart home integration? +
Works with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit (via myQ Home Bridge), Samsung SmartThings, Ring, and Tesla. Most HomeLink-equipped vehicles work directly. Older HomeLink (pre-2014) may need the 855LM bridge — we’ll sort it during your install.
Do you remove and dispose of the old opener? +
Yes. Hauling away the old unit is included — no need to load it on the curb or take it to the dump.
